Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book a hotel reservation?

If you choose to spend the night, HallKeen has a room block with a special discount for HK employees.

If you are seeking reimbursement, you must receive approval from your Regional Manager prior to making your reservation. Please check back for room block details.

What if I have special dietary needs?

If you have specific dietary needs (i.e.: food allergies, etc.), please let us know so that we may accommodate your requests.

Please note: The breakfast and lunch menus will have both vegetarian and vegan friendly options available.

What is the drink policy?

If you plan on having an alcoholic beverage at the Summer Outing, you will be given one drink ticket when you arrive. The ticket is NOT to be shared with another employee. If an employee does NOT plan to use the drink ticket, she/he should NOT take a ticket or should discard it, if unused.

Please note that responsible drinking is a MUST and we expect everyone to be professional while still having a good time. No drinking is allowed for employees who are on-call or returning to the office/property after the Outing. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and professionalism.

Will I get paid for the day, or will I need to take personal time off?

Employees will be paid for a full normal work day, excluding overtime and travel time.

What if I don't plan to attend the Summer Outing?

Employees not attending the Outing are expected to report to work and will be paid for a normal work day.

Can I stay later?

The Summer Outing is scheduled to end at 2:00pm. You are more than welcome to enjoy the rest of your afternoon at Top Golf. Please note that any expenses incurred during this leisure time will not be reimbursed.

Can I bring a friend or family member?

The HK Summer Outing is reserved for HK employees only. Your friends and family are welcome to join you after our event comes to an end.

Will I be reimbursed for mileage?

Employees who drive beyond their normal daily commute will be reimbursed by their property (less mileage of normal commute) . Carpooling is encouraged. Please refer to the mileage reimbursement policy which can be found on the Employee Portal.

What is the dress code?

Taking pride in your personal appearance benefits you and contributes positively to our image as a professional organization. Clothing should fit appropriately and be in good taste for the event. If desired, may wear jeans (without holes or rips), sneakers, length-appropriate shorts, or (protective) sandals.

As this event does have some activities that will require a level of physical activity, in addition to walking and moving around throughout the venue, we recommend wearing comfortable rubber soled shoes or sneakers.

If you are unsure as to what is appropriate or feel you cannot meet the dress code policy's requirements, please speak to your manager or contact Human Resources.
